Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Shannon, I learned how to can just last summer!. Really looking forward to doing more of it and trying some new stuff. Last year it was green beans and salsa (lots and lots of salsa, lol).

I did green beans and tomatoes :) I definitely want to try salsa this year!

We didn't have a lot of luck with tomatoes last year but tons of various peppers. I had to learn to can salsa, it was the only way to keep our heads above them, lol. Let me know what you end up canning and maybe we can swap a couple recipes.

I planted some lilies last year and my chickens ate them petal by petal hahaha sassies.

That's what happened to all of our kale, the girls at it down to bare dirt. They were so happy! DH wasn't so amused, now we have a fence.

Sounds like a great idea!

I won't be able to grow a garden for some time now, so I'll have to resort to my other love for amusement. Baking! This is what I'm thinking about at the moment:

Ooh they do look nice :drool I wish I could bake but it's not really my forte in life!! Nothing turns out like it should :smack I'm more of a practical get your hands dirty type of person.

Loved the gardening and spring quotes today everyone, I actually made a start on the garden yesterday. Mowing the grass and tidying up, just need the proper spring weather now :clap
