In my experience cats don't bother grown chickens, chicks yes, but not full gown big birds. You can post about your problem in the Predators and Pests for more responses and advice if the cats are a problem.

It started after I already arrived, however she is driving in it right now. Waiting to hear from her that she arrived ok. She fears snow, though we did just get her a new car saturday. That should ease her a little.
