Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

I'm on the fence right now. Things are pretty good though, considering. The babies are doing great. My hen has been showing them the ropes and takes them further and further each day. I see your little ones are doing well :) they're super cute.

Took the dogs in for their check up this weekend. One is doing great (like usual) and the other is a big ball of issues. Last week I found a lump on him so I cut his hair to see better. Over the phone the vet figured it was a swollen gland and to wait for the check up to ask for an antibiotic...turns out it's a tumor. And on top of that he has an infected tooth and an ear infection which they think is linked together. He gets the tumor removed next Monday and I have to decide whether or not to test it. I just don't know. I can see pros and cons both ways and it's expensive enough that I just can't make the decision yet.

But beyond that life is good and it may be nothing, so I'll remain on the fence ;)

How is life in CO Tricia?

Oh sorry to hear about your dog. So did they do a needle aspiration on it?

Glad the babies are doing well.

So I went through the whole tumor thing with my Anatolian Sheppard. He had mast cell Tumors (cancer) had two of them removed and they thought they got them all. That ws two years ago and it was $1,000. He is a 11 year old dog now and he has more Tumors growing in different spots. Given his age, I will not put him through another surgery, last surgery he was in a cone and had to be kept separate from our other dog for two months, as he kept ripping his stitches. Anyway, it is never easy to decide just how much to help our animals. I hope the best for you and yours.

Life in CO is good, rainy today append everything is greening up!

Love him and help him be comfortable. So So Sorry, I hope the tumors are benign lumps.
Take car of the tooth, make him comfortable.

We put our dog through so much with hernias issues, the time at the vet school caused some sort of Pneumonia issues, he was away from us for what felt like months, but was probably only weeks, then finally all healed up and he was diagnosed with lymphoma.
I could not put him through more.
The final bill over 20 years ago was over $8,000.
He was worth the money, but if I had known what he was going to go through, I would not have put my sweetie through it all.

Sumi, I lived in south Florida for four years, I made the best of it,
It was an experience, but I could not wait to leave.
I just did not belong there.

Good luck on your impending leap into your life.

Thanks ladies. He's 9 and the location of the tumor is just a bad spot. I'm definitely going to have that removed and probably a tooth. I figured it was getting bad because he's had teeth issues the last few years even with trying to keep them clean. The tooth will be the easy fix. Every few hours I go back and forth with the idea of testing it. I don't want him to suffer and if it did turn out to be cancerous I think I would just let him live comfortably and when he was ready to go I'd let him go. I suppose if I knew what I was dealing with I'd have a better idea of how to handle it. If it's just an old man fatty tumor it wouldn't be a big deal. And so the circling thoughts continue...
