Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

You are all probably aware of the nasty weather we have been having, and continue to have, here in West and North Central Texas and in the Texas Panhandle. Well one of the professional storm chasers was on his way home as a storm receded the other day and just outside of a little town named Floydada, Texas he managed to snap this picture as the storm moved north. I wanted to share it with you all as I think it speaks volumes.

That's cool Jon! I drove thru Texas quite a lot when I was a over the road driver and I remember a big huge cross that you could see from miles away!! I wonder if that's it?

Yes. And they alway drove a big car, late model, because it was a sign of success and who would want a doctor that was not successful enought to go into debt buying a car they did not want or need?

Your doctor drove a car?

Mine showed up in a horse and buggy. Good thing the horse knew its way home. Dad always got him started on shots and beers.

"Just let go
Let His arms wrap around you
And hold you close
Get lost in the surrender
Breathe it in
Until your heart breaks
Then exhale." ~Tiffany Lee

I love the lyrics to Plumb's (aka Tiffany Lee) new song "Exhale." You guys should check it out!

If you were driving across the Panhandle (Lubbock and Amarillo areas) it probably was that cross. At night you can see it a hundred miles away. It makes our cross look little. Wish I could afford a giant neon cross.
