Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Morning everyone!

Glad you got the stove fixed Sumi. :highfive:

Lovely quotes Jon! Love them and the one about your dog that passed.

FLOWERS!

Love those flowers! I have two lilies that look like they may open any day now. That is, of course, if my plant eaters can control themselves a teeny bit. The third will not open as it was devoured already.

I hope these two make it. I'll be sure to share.

Edit: And thank you very much!

Thank you Jon :)

Glad to hear you're alright Kim.  I hope you all get a break from that heat.  Last night we were down to 8 (if I converted correctly) and even today we're only at 13.  Not normal for July.  It's been strange weather the past few years.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day :)

I am thanks Shannon :highfive: Much better now we have some cloud cover and may get a shower so not the intense sun right now. Your temps are nippy for July. The weather around the globe really is changeable right now and not how it used to be.
How's your day?

It's really good thanks. Besides being a bit chilly it's at least sunny now. It really is surprising to hear of all the weather changes.
Now we're just a few hours away from a three day weekend in honor of Independence Day so that's exciting.

Quote: That's good to hear! It's been rainy here since the weekend, but yesterday evening it cleared up and today warm, by Irish standards lol Beautiful weather today. Where I came from, in SA, we went over 50*C a time or two in summer and some nights, it didn't go much below 30*C. We used to joke and say hell will no surprises for us, after that heat, we were ready for everything!

On a different note, the electricity gremlin stuck it's head out again. I bought a new hair dryer and just blew it up. It didn't even switch on, it just blew, wall plug everything... and the TV won't work now… I'm ready to move. It's only a few more days, we'll just have to go easy on the powered stuff here and bite the bullet. Update from the house is that it will be ready very soon, they are working like mad on it now.

sumi, be careful. Sounds like your temp place has some serious electrical issues. At this point I think I would be cooking on a grill and pretending we were on a camping trip until the house is finished.
