Ohh...my...goodness! Where can I buy some Bluebell eggs? Those chickens are soo pretty. I love a blue chicken, but these are so pretty. Are they called something different over here? Anyone know? They have the fluffy butts like the Oprington.
sumi, how do they lay? Good layers? Broody?

@Cynthia12 they're a RIR x Maran hybrid. They are beautiful birds with the sweetest temperaments. I had some previously when we lived here. They lay well and they are just wonderful. They come in a range of shades from almost black to the palest smokey blue.

I haven't thought of names for them yet, I'm still recovering from my "fix" LOL I honestly can't stop smiling, I'm so ridiculously happy to have chickens again. I missed it! I really, really missed it. We got them in the pantry for tonight and tomorrow it's shed-conversion and run set-up time. I was going to get started tomorrow or Monday, but we got a good dose of motivation today
