I wasn't going to post this because it seemed kinda like patting myself on the back. But after typing it in a PM to another good friend, I decided that the love little kids are capable of understanding is too precious not to share. So I just got off the phone with Katie a little while ago. We were talking about what happened, and why it's just not a good idea for her to come and visit right now. (The entire family over there is wiped out with bad colds) She told me this:

"Gramma, your heart just got tired because it's always so busy loving everybody."

Well, my heart might not be in perfect shape, and it may still be healing, but after that I can tell you that it certainly is a little warmer than it was an hour ago.
