HAPPY TO OBLIGE SUMI!!!!

I got home yesterday evening. Kyle was released from the hospital on Thursday. He was soooo happy to get to go home. He is playing and eating well. Today is chemo treatment #2....we are praying it goes smoothly and the days after it are not a repeat of treatment #1. Thank you all for continuing to lift Kyle up. This is very stressful on my DD and SIL, please keep them in your prayers. Thank you, Mary
prayers continue NotAFarm.

Here is the report on the second treatment:

Hello everyone!
Well today was Kyle's second chemo treatment. This one was a little more rough because he did not want them to lift his shirt, let alone touch his port to insert the needle. Thankfully, there is someone called a Child Life Specialist whose job it is to help make the process easier. She was able to distract Kyle enough to make it a little easier. And we eventually got through it. The good thing is that the treatment itself is actually pretty short... Maybe 15 minutes, but getting to the that point takes time.
This treatment should not make him nauseous this week. Since he was already having some nerve pain/issues, the doctors would like us to watch him more closely to make sure there is not a negative effect on his motor skills and even walking. If it does happen, they have specific medicine they can give him or have him do physical therapy to help. So we will be watching.
We are back in the waiting game to see if side effects are going to happen. For now, he ate a big lunch and is in a great mood.

Thank you!!
