Congrats!
Well I purchased 30 eggs and managed to break one when settingThe shell was pretty thin so probably a good thing in the long run.![]()
So I set 23 Pekin and 6 silver laced WyandottesDay 14 candling revealed 13 clear Pekin eggs
No blood rings or deaths, just clear. She did say though that she had a move around with her birds about a week before I collected.![]()
16 made it to lock down all looking good, all have pipped now but I think I have a dead in shell. I've just quickly moved the dry ones to the brooder and one of the Wyandottes has pipped but through a blood vessel. Beak is in the pip hole with no movement and blood around it. Didn't mess though as I wanted to get the lid back on. Time will tell I guess![]()
I hate when they do that…It sounds like the fertile ones did great though! I also culled two clears this week. Last hatch I had a few blood rings and one rotten egg in there! Keeping fingers crossed the 5 will hang in there now and then I'm done hatching until Spring.![]()
