Because. I love nature. A lot. I feel like being put in a box to rot in the ground not very good to nature.

2. I'm taking up space where there should be a tree growing, animals living, not an expanse of graves.

So, by being eaten by an eagle, or mauled by a grizzy bear, I am not talking up space, I was part of the chain of life, and maybe I flew in the talons of an eagle. Or maybe I'll be cremated and sprinkled in my chickens dust baths.

Now you have made me start to think. Wonder what the ecology of cemeteries would be. I know the small ones and private ones that dot the country around here are full of critter habitats.
