"What if my brother dies while I'm on this quest?! Then I'll have left without saying goodbye....I..."Morningpaw's shoulders trembled.

~

Crowpaw sighed softly, and stood up. He padded over to Morningpaw, resting his tail on her shoulders."Hey, it's alright. I'm sorry to hear your brother is sick, Morningpaw. I really am....But I think, no, I know he would be proud of you if you just went without saying goodbye. He would want you to not worry about him, and to save the clans."He murmured gently, her torn heart making his soft side show.
Heronpaw smiled hopefully. She wasn't the type to get very sympathetic, but maybe Crowpaw could convince Morningpaw to come.

Morningpaw looked up at him with wide blue eyes. She hadnt expect him to be so sympathetic. She sniffed, subconsciously leaning her shoulder on him."O-Ok."She stuttered with a ragged breath."I'll come now then."She nuzzled his neck for a heartbeat."Thanks, Crowpaw."

~

Crowpaw cleared his throat, backing away from her."Sure thing, uh, Morningpaw."He meowed.

Heronpaw stood up and mimicked him, "This cat is also very reasonable. I suppose SplashClan and ForestClan aren't as different as I previously thought."
Coldshard paced. He stopped joking again, his icy composure couldn't thaw. "Can't we get going?" He asked, his tail twitching in an irritated way. He obviously wasn't one for heartfelt goodbyes, or procrastination. "The longer we wait, the shorter your brother's life becomes, SmokeClan cat!" he shouted at Morningpaw. "I may not carry your brother your brother dear to my heart, but I care about Forestclan, dying in the woods, and the longer we wait, the more of them die because of you!"

Morningpaw stood up, facing him."Let me tel. You something, Forestclan. You might not want to yell at me if you don't want your fur to line my nest. I recommend shutting your pathetic muzzle, Coldshard. I've made the decision to leave, and we will leave now."She told him, ever so calmly."And, also, for your information, Coldshard, all the clans are in danger, not just yours."

"I am aware of that," said Coldshard, appalled that she hadn't taken the hint in his tempestuous monologue that he knew the other clans were sick. "Just because the Smokeclan," he spat as though it were a vulgar pack of rats, "matters, doesn't mean I care. I cannot believe that a Splashclan cat, lacking the disease that plagues us, sees the way we must go. Perhaps she doesn't have compassion for feelings," he spat, realising he may have used Heronpaw as an item of loathsome comparison, thinking he may have gone to far. He was starting to like the sarcastic little cat.

Morningpaw let out a soft chuckle."Boy, you are messing with the wrong cat. Like I said..."Her gaze darkened."Shut it, and lets get going, since your so eager."

"Lets go!" Coldshard said, hoping he wouldn't say everything else. If StarClan was watching over every cat, he was sure his mother was judging every word spat from his sharp little mouth.

Morningpaw trotted up the hill."We should go to the Moonpool first, see if StarClan will share with-"Se paused, looking at the sky."Wait....I just relized, it's still Moonhigh...It should be about dawn by now...."She looked back at the other cats.

Lavenderkit darted across the open moor. She was determined to find the 'lost' cat. She loved the wind in her fur and sprung into a small clearing. "I'm going to find them!", she shouted a bit to loudly. She pressed her nose to the ground trying to pick up a scent.
