When's everybody putting their eggs in?

I don't have any eggs in it right now. Last hatch was my first hatch with it and I had 12 shipped eggs in it. (shipped cross country I might add)

My hatch rate was not all that great. I think, in addition to being a newbie at it, my humidity was too high. We had some very hot, humid weather during incubation and the humidity in the bator (even without any water) was a little higher than I would have liked. I think I'll also lower the humidity at the end next time I hatch too. Live and learn- right?

Hmmmm even more reason to try it again....

does the r-com king suro 20 have temperature and humidity control like the rcom 20?
i read all the descriptions on the incubator websites and they dont help me out at all, i need to know if it is like the rcom 20, can someone explain it to me, and tell me if the octogon 40 is a better deal

Today I found out just how good the King Suro 20 works. As I type the little polish and cuckoo maran chicks are hatching out. I set 18 eggs and all but 3 have piped and I can hear their little peeps. The entire time it has held to the temperature and really close to the set humidity. It has been heaven not having to constantly baby sit the incubator. I did have to set the temp and humidity but it is as easy as pushing the button. Definitely play with it a couple days to get the water pump to a good setting. The pump has a adjustment to how fast it drips water onto the humidity pad. It takes a tiny little screw driver like the one used for eye glasses to turn a little adjustment screw. Once set, all is great!! Like others have mentioned, you do need to oil the egg van so it rocks smoothly and quietly.

Total of 15 happy healthy chicks!! There were two eggs that didn't develop and one that passed on in its last week. Pretty good results with little effort.
