r-com king suro 20

Look at 1-duckling's photo...that's enough for 20 eggs. I haven't done this yet and don't think I will because don't have enought backyard space for that many, lol. But I don't know how that would go, I know with my 12 egg carton I had only 6 banty eggs in there and with the humidity pad that drops down a little towards the egg carton. I'll try to get a closer pic of it where you can see my setup.

I love mine too. Many successful hatches. They are pipping again right now! The most I've ever hatched in it - 16. It seems like 24 would be pretty tight but I suppose it could be done. It does seem like there are more and more people out there using it. I would love to see all of us King Suro users set eggs at the same time and hatch together. What fun!

Kathyinmo, here is my setup and I'm sure there are better ways. I'm new at this also and this did work for me. I won't be setting as many eggs as other here, sure wish I could tho!

I'm spoiled with a cabinet hatcher that I can move the eggs to for the hatch. The first hatch I did all in the Suro and did end up taking chicks out after the first five hatched. I'm sure they would have been fine but my DH just can't control himself. He sees fluff and thinks they got to come out. The great thing about this incubator is it recovers temp and humidity very quickly so I still ended up with a smooth hatch even with opening it a couple times. Happy hatching!

Yeah and I thought about useing the lg that I had to hatch, but not enough plug in bedroom to go around. That last egg that hasn't pip yet was put in a day later so I'm still watching. You are so right it recovers very quickly and I used warm water and spritz it one time and closed the lid and in under a sec it was back. I have had no problems yet with these chicks and hopefully one more to go.

Thanks for the pictures, JD. So, I am hearing that one could hatch that many in there, but it would be okay to take them out as they fluff up, due to the quick recovery time.

Thanks for the info!

No doesn't come with the egg tray but I just made my own and it does have the auto turn. Check my other post here where I have it sitting on the dresser. It sits in that cradle and slowley tilts the eggs and just unplug when it is level for lockdown. On page 3 post #29

It doesnt come with an egg tray, but has adjustable dividers in it to hold the eggs in place. This works okay, but unless the row is "full" they fall over unless you use something to fill in the gap. The dividers do the job, but the egg tray in JD's previous post is a GREAT idea, and would be very helpful. I plan on doing this next hatch. I'm on day 17 with my Suro now for my first hatch with it. Overall, I am very pleased with it. Digital humidity, temperature, and auto egg turning. Cant beat it! But I would say the dividers are its only draw back.

I'm on my first hatch with this incubator. Once I finally got it set up, I really liked it! Very easy. I have it at 45% humidity and need to do lockdown tomorrow. What humidity did you all use for lockdown? I have 12 eggs in there at the moment. Thanks!
