Sadly I said goodbye to Blondie today. She was our oldest hen, the last of the 13 red sex links we started with. They were semi retired when we got them and one by one they passed away. Blondie hung on a year and a half after the last of them had died. And it has been about that long since her last egg. She has been one of my coop insulators along with my other retired biddies, and she was a doting watchdog for the six new young sexlink pullets, keeping the older hens from bullying them. I'll miss you Blondie.
