Well my rat died today. She was playing in one of her rolls and fell four feet down, normally this is nothing for her but I placed her pen next to the window for some air, and she landed on the sill, breaking her back.

Now I have one rat, and its just hard when you turn around and see your baby lying on the ground, twitching and gasping for air and your sister comes in saying " What happened to 'it' " Or walking in and watching me as I sit on the floor with my Willow in my lap and my "sister" laughs at me. She turned 13 yesterday ( my sister ) and is old enough to know you respect the dead and dying.

Aaaaww, I'm so sorry. It's always so hard to lose a critter that you love. [IMG]

I am so sorry to hear about Willow. [IMG] I cried for a long time after my pet rat, Cuddles died. Sorry your sister is being insensitive. You're right, she should know better at 13! [IMG]

I think a lot of people just don't know how friendly and smart rats are. I know there are a lot of "rat people" on the board. You'll find out that we know how you feel. [IMG]

    Sorry,

    Shelly

Thanks you guys , I knew I could count on people here to understand that a pet is not just an animal but a part of your heart.
