If none of her babies make it i would seriously consider making her a pet (or into dinner).
Out of curiosity what are you feeding her diet wise? Does she have salt available? Have you wormed her? Is there any chance she is being stressed by anything? Dogs, cats, rats, snakes?
we been feeding her reg rabbit food from tractor supply. and also calf meal was started 3 days ago. out side there is no animals of ours in the yard except the rabbits. The neighbor does have cats out side but very seldom come over here. But in the house we do have 2 cats but they are so scared of the rabbits they are staying in the corner away from the cage. As far as salt goes we have not givin them any other then what is in the food. Nor have we thought about worming them. We do give them treats such as carrots, apples, and grapes.
She should be pulling fur no matter what time of the year. I asked about stress from other animals, because stressed does do not follow their instincts. Strange animals walking under or crawling on the tops of cages are huge stressors.
Before we fixed our rabbit house so the neighbor's dog couldn't get in at night, we had entire litter after litter eaten by ecperienced does. All he was doing was walkinh through the building.
we do have squirrels in the yard running up down the trees but that has the been the norm even with the other litter that survived. She was even in the same house. only difference is the season. and acorns falling down because they are under a oak tree. We figure we will see if these 3 will survive if not give her another chance in a month. Thanks for the help.
what kind of salt do you give yours? We have one of the 9 left. I been trying to give it can milk with an eyedropper. dont know if there is better way to do this by hand or how to do this so if you have any suggestions please tell me. Thanks.
I would try milk for kittens or maybe canned goats milk. Once you get it nursing feed it until the belly appears full. Does only feed their babies 2-3 times a day.
The feed store will have salt spools for rabbits. Do not give the baby salt.
