Rabbit pain medication.

she's doing great everyone

after syringe feeding her she started nibbling on her lettuce and now she's been eating more (not completely eating like she did before) and she's moving around a lot more.

Aaaaw, she is a cutie! I am really pleased to hear that she is recovering

she may have just taken a while for the meds from surgery to wear off. Glad that she's doing better!

does your vet deal with a lot of rabbits? if not, they likely decided to play it on the safe side than risk giving her meds

I did not read this whole thread. But I would be very interested in making pain meds from rabbits. :D
That does sound very interesting but we were talking about giving pain meds to rabbits. My rabbit was spayed recently and they didn't give me pain meds for her and she wasn't eating so I wanted to know what I could do for her because rabbits can't go long without eating :)

GREAT.!
She was finally feeling better and now her surgical glue have away and her incisions are open

there's no blood and it's not all the way open. The exotic doctor HAD to not be in today at the emergency clinic so now I have to wait till tomorrow. Has this happened to anyone.? :(

how much space did you give her to move around in? she needs to be in a space just large enough for her to barely turn around. otherwise she will keep popping them open and possibly worse

That seems kinda mean

they need stitches on for two weeks, so two weeks in a small cage.
Well my rabbit didn't get stitches they put surgical glue that comes off with water. And she licked it all off. I took her back in and they stitched her up and glued her back together. I also asked for a cone because I didn't want her to take them off

A lot less mean than the animal ripping out their stitches (glue or whatever).
They should have sent you home with instructions for making a paper plate cone.
They may not be able to reclose the wound at this point and that will almost double the recovery time.
