RABBITS- How do I get rid of them?

As if there weren't enough sparrows eating my chicken feed, I am now seeing rabbit poop in the feed area, and around the horse and llama areas, obviously eating hay and feed scraps. I DON"T WANT TO FEED ANY MORE WILDLIFE! How do I get rid of rabbits now? I suppose they also carry worms etc. Does anyone know about particular hazards of rabbit contamination to poultry, horses or llamas?

I have a seroius rabbit problem at my house. They eat the landscaping and eat the bark of trees I plant. Every hunting season (with a hunting license) I start shooting them and then process to be eaten later. For the last 5 years I have shot 11, 9,16, 7,9 and this year I'm up to 10 already on only 2.5 acres. They breed...well...like rabbits. I know every year there will get around 10 or more. As soon as I clean my property of them more just move in. They are only a problem during the winter when they are desperate to find food.

I don't know how you will get rid of them. But you can limit their numbers.
Here is my list

Shooting them. High power pellet gun, I perfer a .22 or .17hmr. Shotgun if your trying to hit them on the run.
Live trap them with carrots (might not be legal in your area)
Snare (might not be legal in your area)
Dogs
Cats
If you have a lot of land you can lease your property to hunters.
Weasels, foxes, coyotes, hawks, owls (but they like chicken)

start taking them out with a .22 and some live traps. then you can have rabbit n dumplings!

Rabbits can sure be a PIA. Even at that I hope you never get rid of them. It's never good to totally eliminate wildlife in an area. If the hawks and coyotes don't have rabbit for dinner they will start having CHICKEN. Your best hope is to control the rascals and make use of them. Fried rabbit,rabbit stew,rabbit dumplings,they're all good! Same goes for squirrel. If you happen to be a "non-meat eater" find a neighbor or friend that can use the meat but don't waste it.

I would love to eat some rabbit. I don't have high hopes for being able to shoot them, as I'm not around on the far side of the barn most of the time, and don't have the time to sit and wait. Not to mention I'm not much of a shot. If I could live-trap them, however, I would totally eat them. I've never actually had rabbit, but have wanted to. I would rather do that than try snares. My ducks and geese wander around in the same area, as do the llamas. I could live trap and then kill humanely. Does anyone have much luck with live-trapping rabbits? We didn't have nearly the wildlife problem before my good dog Dante died last January. Now everything seems to sense that he's gone and they've invaded, despite the presence of two other dogs (who just aren't good hunters).

I used to have rabbits on my property, but the coyotes wiped them all out...I would be happy to have the bunnies and not the coyotes.

I haven't seen any rabbit sign on my land or that of two abutting lots, that's over 100 acres.

Too many rabbit eaters in the area or the rabbits are disguised these days.
