I posted this on Craigslist last week and a very nice chicken owner in my town contacted me about her that night. Rabid has been rehomed and is much loved. Lisa said that she is a sweetie and fitting right in with her other chickens. ) Thanks for everyone's concern and suggestions. It's a happy ending!

That's GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had just talked DH into the fact that I may be driving south for a day or two trip!!!! He was NOT impressed.

I am afraid my DH has ben unimpressed with the lengths I will go to for my birds as well. He's definitely an animal lover, but incurably practical as well!
