Raccoon attack! Help!

I’m not sure. I don’t even know if it is her crop, because it’s on the right side of her body instead of the usual left. I’m very sad about it, I’ve already lost one. I’m a noob to chickens still, and I only had 4. Stupid coon took out half my birds! The hole is right where a bone is, and I can’t stretch the skin back together to glue it back. In the meantime she’ll be hungry and thirsty. I don’t see what I can do now :hit

:hugs Thank you all. She seems lively, so I sprayed Vetericyn again and I will see what tomorrow brings. I just don’t have the heart to do anything if she’s still trying to push through and eat. If she ends up living I will just be thankful I didn’t put her down too soon. If she gets worse I will.

So, she is still eating and drinking? Yes, keep her wound cleaned with Vetericyn or use some chlorhexidene or betadine to clean the wound. Do you think she is suffering? Is there a way to see what all is coming out of her wounded crop or wound through the night? Let us know how she is doing in the morning.
