Raccoon only taking colored ducks?

Hi, I had a flock of nine ducks, they are like my babies and were raised right next to my bed. Five of them were plain white pekin ducks and the rest were rouen ducks. Recently a raccoon has been coming around it killed two of the rouen ducks. Our neighbor ended up shooting it but the raccoon apparently had freinds who came back today and killed the other two rouens. They never touched any of the white ducks. I was just wondering if anyone knows why they target the colored ducks, or if anyone has experienced this with their flock. I'm hoping if anyone has any insight I will be able to better protect my babies.

My gut is that this is nothing more than coincidence. Bottom line is secure the remaining duck as the raccoons will return.

I have moved the duck to a secure run that is closed and locked. Thanks for the insight I just though it was odd and wondered if there was something to it.
