Raccoon out in the day and in my willow tree

My guess is that it was just trying to find somewhere to sleep for the day. It was fairly small, wasn't acting odd, besides being out, and since this incident, my dh and I have concluded that it was probably seeking out new territory after leaving it's mother? Turns out my part of town has a huge problem with raccoons, worse than the rest of town. I haven't seen it since, but I've decided to set a trap, I'm sure I'll catch some raccoon or other, lol. I live in a city so I can't shoot it, lol.

I've got the hardware cloth on the tractor now, but I still don't want it around.
