A racoon just attacked my 2 year old silver laced wyandotte. She is still alive and there is no blood but lots of missing feathers. 1/2 of her beak the lower half she cant move it, only the top half moves, one of her eyes is sealed shut it looks like she might have lost it but I cannot tell, the lid looks indented but no blood, she just passed some poop and an egg yolk with a broken half formed shell in it. must have been broken in the attack. lots of missing feathers but no blood anywhere. She can still make clucking sound! :( not eating and drinking yet it just happened she is still in severe shock. the poop was regular but with an egg yolk and 1/2 an egg shell. I have not treated her at all yet she is inside in a box resting. SLightly wheezing breaths but I cant tell if there is any internal injuries.
I want to treat her. We don't have any vets around here that treat chickens. I am more worries about the broken egg and 1/2 shell than anything. What can I do immediately to help her and prevent egg yolk petronitis?!?!

please help she is in pretty good shape given the attack I want to save her and help her!

Sounds like you're doing things right. Keep her warm. Keeping her in the dark might be helpful, as it should calm her down.

If she's not hungry, she's not hungry. I'm guessing it's pretty late where you are, as most people on here are from the states. She probably isn't really interested in eating at this time.

Don't try to force her to drink, but leave out some electrolyte water (2 qt water, 1 tsp baking soda, 1tbsp corn syrup/sugar/honey, 1 pinch salt.)

Is there any blood around her vent? I have no experience with an egg breaking inside a hen, and I doubt there's damage, but it doesn't hurt to check. EDT: If there isn't damage, her chances are probably good. But @casportpony, @Wyorp Rock ?

It sounds like she just needs time and warmth. Good luck.

I hope she feels better soon.

How is your hen doing? She needs a calm, quiet, warm place to rest. Hydration will be critical, too. If you can add vitamins and electrolytes to her water, that woukd be good. I would gently, yet thoroughly, examine her for injuries. Is she still wheezing? Did she pass the remainder of the egg shell? I agree the broken egg is a concern. You might try lubricating her vent to help her pass whatever is still inside. Has she pooped yet? Sorry about all the questions. Your answers will help is to help you. Please keep us posted.

Is it possible Her jaw may be broken or dislocated?
Feel under and around it... Sides of her face.

You should be comparing lateral symmetry. Are you feeling anything sharp or pokey under her skin, any unevenness?

I have not found any injuries she can walk she can even make clucking noises. She has eaten a little wet food this morning but i have not seen her drink yet. She does not seem to be wheezing anymore, but her beak is definitely off somehow its hard to describe. Im not sure if she passes the rest of the shell it was not fully formed and very soft. It does not look like the egg yolk broke until she passed it which is good. She has pooped twice since the egg one was huge and very wet smelled a little eggy but no yellow or visible egg. I am most worried and looking for help for what antibiotics I should give her to help prevent internal infection. I have tetrycycline on hand. I am also looking for advice on how to treat her eye. Should I gently put neosporin on the outside lid to also prevent infection? Thanks for your help!

I guess it could be possible but I have never seen it before and dont know what it looks like. She can move her beak but only in a very odd stiff way, im thinking dislocated might be correct because she can move it. But it is not skewed of crooked.
