Ragged/Wispy-Looking Feathers

I agree that it looks like feather picking from too little protein, and probably being confined to too little space. I would switch to a 20% protein all flock or flock raiser feed, but also put out some crushed oyster shell in a separate container for the laying hens. In the meantime, you can offer the flock some scrambled egg bits or canned tuna, mackerel, etc to peck at for a protein boost.
 
Hi, I was wondering if you ever concluded what was happening with your girl? I noticed this week several of mine are presenting with the same feather appearance, especially my cockerel.
Hi, yes I did figure out the issue. I had a couple hens who were plucking and eating his feathers. They aren’t around anymore.
