rags for bedding?

Im new to this game and I am wondering if the over abundance of clean rags I have are of any safe use for nests or bedding? Thanks in advance. I am trying to get all the info I can before I go starting my flock.

Hello and Welcome To BYC! As long as there are not threads hanging that the chickens can eat, some people use them for padding in nest boxes, and a lot of people like to use towels in the brooder for chicks because they make for nice footing.

Kelsie X2...You can use lots of materials for nest boxes or brooders. As long as they can't get tangled in them, they will be fine.
