I think this is where this post goes? Anyway, being new to keeping chickens, today I realized that if you want to catch a chicken easy, let it rain. They'll stand there chest up and eyes closed. I think they'd drown before they moved to shelter. Funny thing is, I was five feet from them trying to get them to come to the porch so they'd stay dry. The even funnier thing is my dumb butt runs out in the pouring rain to get em. By the time I lay the the last of the two down, rain stops. Thank God the wife didn't pull up and see me standing there soaking wet with two wet chickens beside me. Is this normal chicken behavior or are mine a little mentally challenged?

I saw two chickens dancing in the rain. Saw two chickens dancing in the rain...It was poultry in motion.

I think it's more an indicator as to how little the rain bothers them. Feather quality would be the variable there as to how effected the birds are. Soft feathers being easier for rain and wind to get under.

Wish wife would have busted you AND snapped a pic! So you're running around catching chickens in the rain. I feel ya. I'm not willing to throw chickens under the "short bus", but will say that I have one I named "slow".

Maybe instead of the chickens I should be thrown under the short bus? They were probably tellin each other" hey, let's see if we can get this crippled ole man to come out here and get us." They won this round lol.

Still laughing. I was gonna mention that...Yeppers. That's how it happens. We had thunderstorm and flash flood warnings yesterday. 40 mph wind, lightening. I ran out to bring in ALL the dogs, horses and chickens. Meh, they didn't care. I could have been killed! I know they laugh at me. Remember chicken little? The sky is falling? I think that's what happened.
