Rain, Rain, go away!

OH wow.thats how my front yard looked this year..........hard to function in all that water............ my girls were nuts while it made a lake out of my yard, but they sure were happy with the mud and bugs when it went down......hang in there.........we have lifejackets waiting

I feel your pain featherfooted, though not as bad as yours, mine is a big mud hole.
I am scared my new bantams are gonna get sick with all this rain and the temps dropping again on top of the stress of moving to a new home.

I guess we need it though.:|

I had to dig a diversion ditch for my coop and run. It is still too wet for my comfort. I hope that water soaks on down soon.

Vicmower, I hope to have some in the late spring as my Roo is only about 4 1/2 months old. They will be Dark Brahmas. I'll put a post on the forum when I have some.

The rain finally stopped and the lake has gone down. I hope to be able to let the girls out tomorrow. What made it worst was that my DD was here for a visit and had brought her border collie who has not been around chickens, so they had to stay in the run and not get to free range like they are use to. She's leaving in the morning, so they will be able to get out. I will be glad to see some sunny.

I know that we need some rain here since the lake is almost dry. But my DH has not worked since Christmas. We are starving here!! Our bills are getting way behind. No more heavy rain for awhile. Small rain showers are ok.

OK, I'll stop complaining about all the rain we are getting lately. My yard is a mud pit but at least I don't need waders. I sure hope it clears up soon, you guys need some sunshine!
