I too live in the PNW. Rain where

I don't see no stinkin' rain. No really mine don't mind the rain, but the wind kind of ruffles their feathers.

My grandfather had a saying. He said "if it's raining in the morning and the chickens come out it will rain all day if they stay in it will stop before noon" . Just an old wives tale. I've tested it, it doesn't hold true.

I think the chickens don't mind the rain because it brings worms and other insects to the surface and the smart birds know it.

We get so little rain here the chickens don't know what it is. They wander around in it looking up going "What the......?" until they get soaked.

My 6 hens love the rain too, doesn't bother them at all..

Not mine. They always get under their shed and jump on top of their nesting boxes.

Mine hate the rain and won't come out... My roostr crows alot more in when it's raining out.

Mine don't mind rain unless it's a heavy rain, then they will stay under the overhang of the roof and under the dense junipers or hang out in the covered run...
