Rain

I too live in the PNW. Rain where

I don't see no stinkin' rain. No really mine don't mind the rain, but the wind kind of ruffles their feathers.

My grandfather had a saying. He said "if it's raining in the morning and the chickens come out it will rain all day if they stay in it will stop before noon" . Just an old wives tale. I've tested it, it doesn't hold true.

I think the chickens don't mind the rain because it brings worms and other insects to the surface and the smart birds know it.

Mine don't mind rain unless it's a heavy rain, then they will stay under the overhang of the roof and under the dense junipers or hang out in the covered run...
