Well when i left for class this morning the temp outside was just above 40 and all the chicks i moved outside were piled together in a big ball under the heat lamps. When i came home from class the wind was gusting between 30 and 35mph so the tarp i put over the outside brooder was almost useless. I built a new brooder for the house out of a baby pool and poultry netting and the chicks are happy to be back in the house!

Very cute. Probably need to be fully feathered to go outside. Like 7-8 weeks old. Meat birds go out earlier, but the mature earlier too.
