this has nothing to do with the dove baby but im raising a robin baby he was left outside I found him and I left him there to see if the mother would come back but the next day he was still there so we went and got him .. he has been with us for a day any ideas of raising him or her

From now you can add some seed to his formula... but you can choose smalle seeds like the small white corn... but you should soak them in warm water for an hour or so..... take it easy and do it slowly

Okay I will do that. Does he need a water bowl in his cage?

No not yet... but from his age he can learn how to drink... before feeding him... you can get a shallow bowl of water and dip his beak gently in it... and he will start drinking... and when he get used to it and drinks on it's own after several days of practice and after he is well feathered you can put him a shallow bowl of water in the cage..... and you can teach him also before feeding how to peck on seeds and eat them..... and soon he will be eating and drinking on its own....

Hi farmer boy..... I successfuly hand raised some bulbuls and black birds feeding them pellets soaked in warm water.... and they loved it.... you can try it... or you can buy a baby bird formula from any pet supply or pet store... and feed him that... don't forget to keep him warm amd safe from cats and kids...

(This is before I fed him, that's why his crop looks empty)
