raising a short faced pigeon from hatch?

we appear to be in business! just got home and baby is dry and alive! I got about 2 drops of yogurt in him because he's so small there's literally nowhere I can seemingly hold him still from(beak is all nostril and eyes take up his head) but he caught on when I held the tube to his mouth and pressed the plunger slowly. then proceeded to poop in literal seconds! everything is working internally it seems :D anyone know if I should give him more yogurt at any point or was it only necessary for the probiotics? also I took the food willingly but he does obviously have a yolk bulge on his belly, should I wait an hr before giving him another drop or two to be sure or should he be fine till tomorrow when I get up at 6 now we know his organs are working?
 
One last question before we dive into pigeon motherhood lol. I have, Terrible circulation in my hands! do I need to make sure they're warm before handling the chick? idk how fast a creature this small drops in temp but he is literally the size of a baby quail which are quite fragile, even without the need to be hand fed and poop changed.
