Congrats!!! They are adorable! Were you expecting splashes or hoping...lol! So after being broody for 7 weeks...my Fiona is now molting :thpoor baby !

Was kinda hoping for splashes.
my last hatch of 4 eggs from my frizzle was 1 smooth blue and 3 splash frizzles, and of those 4, only one of the frizzles is a male. :clap

Poor Fiona. Molting looks so hard on them, and after a broody spell, be sure and keep a good eye on her.

Well....hopefulky your new babies are all girls:fl:D

Yes..she is dropping feathers like crazy ! Poor girl! Yesterday she was dusting and did her full body shake after....looked like a pillow fight..feathers everywhere! Our girls are spoiled inside chickens so she is cozy warm.:love Been giving her extra protein to help with feather regrowth :) at least she seems to be molting evenly all over her body so no bare patches...yet:rolleyes:

Now it's a "wait and see" prospect. Three chicks were vaccinated. It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. I only had to re-do one. AC chicks are tricky because of their black skin, so I thought I had penetrated skin (it was really yelling like I had), when all I'd gotten was fluff.
They have to be isolated for about 10 days (they're downstairs in the bathroom no one uses) before they can handle exposure to MDV.
