Raising chickens and bees on the same property

Hi,

We have chickens, and we are looking into starting to raise honey bees also. I was wondering if anyone else does this and if you have run into any problems that i should know about. Do the bees bother the chickens? Do the chickens bother the bees?

Any experience advice would be helpful.

I have both chickens and bees and there are no problems at all. The bees sometimes get into the goat water, but no goats have slurpped them up yet.

I grew up with bees and chickens on the same property. No problems.

I wish we could do bees, too. In Brooklyn, NY, keeping bees is illegal. Hens (but not roosters) are okay.
