I bought some Coturnix Quail at a local animal barn yesterday. I put 3 females and 1 male in each of the cages (2ft x 3ft).

Today I got 3 speckled eggs and 1 white one. Is the white egg normal?

There's nothing special about them. They're the same as any other egg, minus the colored speckles. They don't produce white chicks or anything.

I've hatched them before but haven't set enough to determine if the hatch rate is greater or less than a speckled egg. Usually have 2 or 3 in racks of 120 and 1 or 2 hatch.

are the offspring liable to laying white eggs more often? Got a lovely one last night, but i set a hatch last friday.... guess i wont pop this white egg in and disturb the rest if theres nothing special about them.

White eggs, unless you are outside the US, are most often the result of a hen being stressed or scared, and dropping the egg before it gets painted. Outside the US there is a white egg mutation.
