I am interested in raising Turkeys, if you get different breeds of Turkey do you have to keep them separate? Do different breeds get along with each other, what if they cross breed? TIA Rose

I am too!Trying to start this weekend

From recent chicken research, breeds gets along with breeds. It kinda reflects on itjer poultry,so yes, different breeds can live together.

I have heard that they are hard to start from an egg, and are generally a unitelligent bird you have to show them the food and water. I am looking for the best tasting bird and hopefully not too loud. Any suggestions

I do not have turkeys so take this with an grain of salt, but here is what I have read. It seems that turkeys have a hard time raising their own. It seems people have done just fine with incubating. It also seems that the stupidity of turkeys is highly overstated.

As far as breeding. I don't see any reason why it would be an issue breeding different turkeys. That is how a lot of the breeds have come to be.
