Raising Goslings, From the egg to nesting

One gosling will be very lonely and depend on you for constant companionship, if you can get it a friend of close to the same age it would be much better. [for you and the gosling]

You have them heat lamps way to close for comfort. I would be afraid to bake the goslings. Please go and purchase some big plastic containers from Walmart and the attach the lamp on one end so the can get away from the heat lamp if needed. They will quickly grow out of everything super fast. Within 4 days they a making a very very poopy mess lots of cleaning. If you could make a nice big area in a secure barn at night so nothing can get the goslings. You need to work on pens like that for the goslings so they can go out and have plenty of room to walk and not pick on each other.

My gosling aged 2 days, named Nibbler, does anyone know what breed it is, I was given the egg by a friend who did not know the breed of the parents....:-(

i have hatched 15 goose eggs and three of them hatched. their favorite food is clover.
the oldest one is almost changing into feathers. i let them swim only in warm water.
they poop were ever they go and i`m trying to train them not to.the gosling think i`am
their mother.

It's a losing battle you can't house train geese. But Congrats on your 3 little one we'd love to see pics. and
