raising just one goat

Hi Everyone,
My wife had posted about our loss of Lucy and we would both
like to Thank You All for the condolences, kind words and suggestions for our remaining goat Gertrude.
I had suggested that maybe we should take her to the local
rescue ranch in our area.
But my wife could not part with her, and the rescue ranch wants us to adopt from them. And so we shall !!!
You are all correct about her need for companionship and she
is quite frankly driving me crazy. While working on the coop today she wanted all the attention, chickens be darn. Any
way Thank You All. The Dude and his Beloved Wife

that is wonderful that you are going to adopt! You are giving another goat a new home and a friend for your remaining goat.
please post pictures when you get your new goat!!!
(or goats...??? Someone on here posted that they are like potato chips, noone can have just one!!!!!)

Chickiebaby and All,
My nickname was given to me many years ago by the men I was in charge of. As I was used to calling them Dude....
Anyway, the nickname The Dude was cemented years later after at a best freinds Mother's memorial in the Church, after I had 500 miles of fellow truckers clear the way for me to attend.
These guys were all from a former career in body shop mgt.
I had brought this particular best freind into the bizz. His name
is Ric.
I was quite disconcerted when upon my arrival to my Bud's
Mom's memorial, I was greeted with a chourus of men....
chanting "The Dudes" here!
Long story longer, I had left those guys and started a trucking
biz, but they never forgot me or I them.
And have always as a result had the CB handle "The Dude"
A tough handle to live up to... But I try to every day.
As for a Lebowski reference, you'll have to tell me. OK?
The Dude
