Thanks for the info - I have a way to go before my NZ mix girls are safe to breed. By the time they are ready (weight wise) we will be in the triple digits here. Right now they are 4 months old and only 6 lbs. (look huge to me). But am told they have a way to go. I am waiting till about September. I am living vicariously through all of you at this time and soaking up as much info as possible.

Babies arrived at dawn! Doe #1 just decided to finally give them up. Quick peek so could be more but I counted at least 7 big ol baby heads. They are covered and have full bellies! I am so happy.

Do you name your breeding does or just keep them all numbered?

We do name all our breeders. We number them for record keeping. This is Ghost (doe)and ODB's (buck) offspring. My two biggest breeders.

My sweet heart buck is "Cletus Van dam" lol
