raising quail?

so in raising the bobwhites is the same space needed? i want to build the quail pop here but don't want to go in debt doin it

Bobs need a ton more space, and from my experience you will spend about $300 just getting a 20 bird covey in place for no more than a year.

not to bad. i have a lot of wood left from an old barn and a sawmill. think it would be wise to build part of it into some woods i have right next to the house for natural housin?

I think building into the edge of the woods is a GREAT idea, would be more relaxing for the quail to have the woods as a backdrop, bobwhites LOVE hiding places so integrate some good hiding spots in and you will be set

im plan on building it 10' t x 12' w x 100' l.....is that goin to be good for 50 to 75 quail? i plan usin them for both eatin/training/hunting and it will be on grass with 1/4 of it in oak/blackberry/scrub brush growth with the northeast end and south/southwest end protected and is my barn light goin to mess anything up? its about 30 yrds away. i doesnt bother my chickens they like to roost facin it. and would natural nests be better or how do i go about buildin them..same as a chicken?
