Raising roosters together

I have 2 comet roos and just yesterday they started fighting. They have over 50 hen with them on a hundred acre farm and are free range. I sadly had to beak up the fight killing one of them.

It is just in some breeds nature u are unable 2 prevent it

I had two RIR's and they're supposed to be "mean" and "territorial"

One was mean to humans, and one is my pal,
but they ran around together like best friends until I was able to determine who was biting me and take care of him. They were raised together and never did fight. One was willingly submissive. I think it's depending on the personality, one has to be willing to submit without a huge fight. Some just don't have the personality to back down from a fight. Could be the game genes, could just be random chance. We all know humans who fight at the drop of a hat and others who just shrug it off

All of our roos live together and sleep snuggled together just fine.Oh they have their moments and do the see my chest hear my crow thing and then walk away.Only one I'm having any problems with is one of my Delaware's he's so low on the list he's terrorized by kid roos and pullets alike. He's now living with just a couple of hens-that pick on him also...poor Fred

I have 2 OEGB roos that were raised together from day old chicks and are the best of buddies. It is possible to raise roosters toegether!
