raising turkeys

hi,i heard that raising turkeys is very hard because of the diseases what can i give baby turkeys a chance to live to mature tom and hens,,,i heard that poxine is a vaccine u can give the babys thru the web of the wing at 8 weeks,i have red burbon and auburn turkeys,,,any help will do,,,,thanks
