Raising wild quail

I was wondering if I would make a trap and get really lucky and caught some wild quail would I be able to raise them just like domesticated quail??

It is illegal in the United States to trap for the purpose of possession any wild species without having a permit. In this case you would not be able to obtain such a permit.

Realistically it doesnt matter anyway the stress the bird(s) would go through would likely result in its death.

Go out and buy some domestic quail that will be calmer in a captive situation. Wild caught birds will be flighty and not enjoyable in a home that domestically raised quail are more suited for.

Best for you to leave the wild quail alone. If there's a particular species you are really interested in, look around because breeders might have them and you can purchase them.
