Random Acts of Kindness

Not recent, but one I'll always remember...

When my son was about a year old, our area was hit by a huge snow/ice storm. Obviously, store shelves were bare of essentials, with many of them closed. Expressways were even closed locally, so it would be days before restocks. We were out of milk (we'd just moved to the area, and weren't familiar with the mass store rushes that occurred before big storms). My (ex)spouse walked to a convenience store that was open, but of course they had no milk. He was talking to the lady who worked behind the counter about where he might find milk for our baby son, and she went into the back and came out with a gallon she had put aside for herself and her family. That act of kindness and generosity has always touched me.

I love reading these stories!

Every time I open this thread, I smile.

A fellow BYCer has most graciously taken in all of my (many, many) chicks that turned out to be roos. It is such a relief to know they are in a great place with wonderful people, and that no one is going to eat them!!!

I don't know what I would have done without her. You know who you are....THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh oh oh... I want to try this!

Kindness Journals

I would buy small journals on the inside cover I will write: This is a journal to record Random Acts Of Kindness. Once you preform an act write it down and pass it on to the next person. Then they will add a kind act and pass it on. Once filled send it back to me so i can see all the kind acts that my one act started. So keep it going and Pay it forward. I will add my Address,e-mail and pocket for smile cards!
