Yes that is a Sumatra. I own him he is called Sid he is A lovely bird, He got a couple of hens a few weeks ago. What breeds do you have?

Good Question! lol I have an assortment of Bantams. Mostly crosses. Used to have a Phoenix but he was ...gulp.....eaten along with his identical son and most of his ladies. I have a couple black Silkies and some Cochin Bantams, mostly black but had some white ones just hatch out and quite a few that are a mixture of colors. Also have ducks. And some quail. And Rabbits.

I only have Bantam who is a Sumatra hen, and she is a very good example for a bantam Sumatra I think, I highly recommend sumatra's they are gReat fun to own. They are enquisative and friendly, you just have to put the time in.
I would like to buy some red saddled yokohama's one day, my grandpa has some.

I take it the rabbit in your profile pic is one of your rabbits!
I would be no fun to talk to about ducks or water fowl n general as I'm not really into them. I'm kind of devoted to the chicken, and have been since I could walk.

Yeah that is the very first successful blonde we got in our group. He is all grown up now and is our breeding buck. I want to get into pure bred chickens but first we are moving our main guys to a free range set up and then that is what I will do. I want some long tailed breeds, such as the Sumatra and some laced and crested breeds. Polish is my Favorite. I will have to find out if my friend has Sumatras, she has all kinds of chickens like Polish and Marans and Swedish Flowers and lots of others. So do you show or have you shown any of your birds?

I only want to do pure breds because with a hybred if its a nasty cross you have to despise of it so I only want to breed Purebreds.
I Have just set up some electric poultry fencing for Sid and his hens, I am a bit worried as last night my neighbour had all his chicken killed by some thing, he thinks it a fox but they don't kill for shear blood lust. I think it was a mink but well find out what it is soon I'm shore.

I have never shown any birds, I'm only twelve and I'm focusing on breeding show quality birds. We are just sort of settling into our new home so we have been busy getting here and sorting the place out. We moved here this time last year after divorce. But since the divorce I've go into the chicken a lot more, so when we're settled and ready I hope to show Sid and his hens.
