* im actually getting 4 new chicks-we ordered them last night- and the one thats mine is gonna be a golden campine named perky:)im calling it perky cuz i have a rhd island red named kippers and perky is kind of kippers spelled backwards:)
 
october does feel far away but it really isn't ... I cant wait to get more babies and i just hatched 9 nn croses and bought 6 slamon favorelles and yet somehow im already shopping for more .. knowing I have to figured out how to move them all in about 6 months lol

I have no idea!! I got her from TSC back in March. They just said she was a "red". Her name is Momma cause she rounds up all the other chickens and makes sure they're in the coop in the evening before she goes in herself. Here's a better pic:







If you go to my profile and look at my pics, my rooster is posing standing on top of the small trash can I use for their oyster shell and treats. Momma loves my fingers. And toes....

Onedoodle3, "Momma" looks to be a Production Red. A very good breed, especially if you want lots of eggs!

Dreamwalker , it appears you have a Production Red and a number or Red Stars, also excellent layers.

By the way, last week I set 42 "Cherry Egger" eggs in the bator.
