random egg appeared

i found a white egg on the floor in my coop, i have three hens and 3 eggs were in the nesting boxes. I empty the box every afternoon and the girls lay green or brown eggs...there were feathers in the coop and the roost was knocked down...any ideas
I left the egg as it was

Ok, thats just weird. How big is it?

Does it look like a chicken egg-the correct size? Could be you have a stray hen wandering in and taking advantage of all those lovely nest boxes-until your flock found her and chased her off.

Maybe the one that lays green eggs laid one white. I sometimes find eggs in the coop because it gets pushed out by the other hens.

it looks like a chicken egg, but mine lay brown and green and there are only 3 hens in the coop

Maybe the one that lays green eggs laid one white. I sometimes find eggs in the coop because it gets pushed out by the other hens.

but i have 3 hens and 4 eggs and i didn't miss one the day before. They inly free range supervised

do u have any feral chickens that you have seen nearby?
