So my Polish bantum's small white eggs smell like fish when they're cooked but don't taste like fish... the smell is off putting though. I've been searching for a way to have them not smell like fish! Will try the non soy thing, but I did find this... "Your eggs are safe to eat, although you may not be a fan of the smell. Let me explain the odor. The fishy egg is a known phenomenon in egg production. Certain breeds of chickens, particularly, but not limited to those that lay brown eggs, have a gene that converts fatty acids in their diet to compounds that smell fishy."
The previous post is correct, they are not harmful...unless making my pregnant stomach turn is considered harm (lol). I am hoping my other chickens don't suffer from this. I can at least give eggs from my other hens and just give the fishy eggs to me and my family. Lol
