WOOHOO!!! Lav eggs are starting!!! Congrats!

Sonny is getting soooo big! His crow is wonderfully deep sounding, and he's getting nice hackles and saddle feathers. Very deep, beetle green sheen.....what a beauty he is. I hope he is as gorgeous and big as Big Bear...

I'm so glad you posted these! What purty babies! Would you mind looking at these from your eggs and tell me what you think?
They are now almost 6 weeks old and I love them!!
I ended up with 2 dark rumpless, 2 white rumpless, 2 white with tails and 1 with a tail and a left tuft--of course named Lefty. I'm afraid that Lefty has crooked toes, though. I tried to straighten them, but with no luck. I don't have a clear pic of Lefty, but I have some of the others.

Lucy--she (I hope) has a beautiful purple sheen in the sunlight!

Hi Becky, they look great. The first 2 dark ones look like pullets. I'm not sure on the whites, but in the last pic the one on the left looks like it could be a male and the one on the right a female. I would love to see more pics of the first dark one as it grows more. I don't believe I've ever seen mottling in the chest like that on mine but I don't really focus on blacks much here anymore, but I believe the gene is still present. Please keep me posted on her. Good job with the hatch.

Thanks everyone for your nice comments. Sandy is one of my favorite gals!
