Random Pics of My Lil Flock

Pics
Finally! Pics of my "run within a run." It's made to be temporary because in my chicken utopia, all of my birds will get along famously, and I will he able to remove the inner run (yeah, right).

I used horse fence we had in the garage and shaped a 10x3 area to keep the babies in and the big girls out. Everything is either cable tied or bungeed so I can take it out in a couple of minutes. Their coop is under construction. I had originally intended to just keep them all in the original coop, but I decided I'd just go with the second coop to make everyone's lives easier... except mine. I should have Ave it finished tomorrow or Tuesday, depending on the weather.

These pics are from a week or so ago.

BTW: The pet carrier is how I move them from the isolation pen in the coop to the run.
Great idea!
I use a large rubermaid tub to transport the ducklings here. I can put all 9 Runners in there and enough room, buy boy it sure is loud! Gets heavy too once they all try walking around in it. :th

OMG. I am almost done with coop #2, which I have dubbed the Mini Coop in honor of my hubby's car. It has taken 3 days. I'm kind of frustrated because, as small as it is, I should have been done yesterday. It's all the stupid trim that's killing me... Here it was after day 1:

I'm making it from my neighbor's old hot tub surround. They got a new one and were going to throw the old one out. I salvaged what I could. This coop hasn't cost me a DIME! Woo hoo!

(Pardon the very messy patio. We are also building a new shed, so the contents of the old one are strewn about, and my construction mess just exacerbates things).

I will post updated photos when it's all done! Probably tomorrow.... Grr....

And I meant the trim made out of wood are stupid and driving me crazy. Not you. No offense meant.
Lol, I didn't take it that way, but thank you. If it make it easier, you can just call me Chris. :hugs
Now if I heard those words coming out of my wife's mouth, it'd be a bit of a different story. And I might not have much of an argument against it!

Lol! Glad she's got you figured out. You can call me Kat. My son's name is Kris. Close enough to help me remember and to let you know how I feel about the name.
:)

Hahaha! Looks like texts I've sent hubby on occasion.

BTW - the stupid Mini Coop isn't done! Grr! I used construction adhesive to strengthen all the joints, and it hasn't fully set for some reason. I can't finish screwing all the time into place until it's all dry. I am so frustrated. It's a different adhesive than I normally use, but when I ran out halfway through the project yesterday, I went to the hardware store to grab a tube of it and they were out! So I grabbed a different one - same brand, just not the exact same product. I'm paying for it now...
:barnie

And now I'm having hinge problems. Cant find ones that work because my doors are kinda warped (a consequence of using old wood). I think I know how to fix it, but I have a new and profound respect for cabinet makers, I tell you what.
