Random Ranting.... Why why why

Do we need to have someone check on them? I am sure they are busy right? Or maybe their power went out.

I was hoping this thread wouldn't get started up again because it makes my blood boil.

From the BYC rules: 3. No Flaming (verbally attacking people or groups of people - e.g. a profession, an organization, a company.)
If you don't like law enforcement, the answer is simple. Don't call em when you need your behind saved.
There are many law enforcemnt families on BYC. It would be nice if y'all would keep that in mind. Either that or be sure and post your profession, if you have one. I'll be glad to run them down so you can see what it feels like.

I'm sorry if I ever seemed to bash law enforcement. My daddy, Grandfather were both city cops and my uncle is a Georgia State Trooper. I was merely saying that in this case, from the info given, they were a little lax on the job. I personaly would have shot the guys (and I'm not second guessing the OP) and then called the law. I have had to defend myself ( saved my behind) and my property on several different occasions. I personaly don't feel its LE job to defend me or my property. But that's just me. I guess that's one of the drawbacks to living out in the country.

I have great respect for LE and the job they do. So I'm sorry if I offended you or any other LE officer/family.

Then you have to know that we are only hearing one side of the story here. Frankly, I found the OP account to be a bit rambling, at best. The fact that there's been no update just enhances my suspicions that we weren't getting the whole story.

You may very well be right. I also know from my own accounts that LE has some bad apples too. Far less than some people want us to believe though.

THe problem is too much crime and not enough police. In NE Ohio they cut down on officers ,the remaining often took a paycut to keep their jobs. Crime is going up. I know the get tired having to deal with the same idiots over and over again. I guess sooner or later they get burn out syndrome.
Maybe it was just a Youngstown thing about the bad cops.
Here is a positive experience i had.
Back in Florida they were on a foot chase trying to get a criminal. He got out of their sight and ranby, maybe 2-3 ft away from my livingroom window . My oldest on(who was 5) sat right by the window and got scared to death. We called the police reported him, later the day was caught. But Taylor was still scared. I called the local station and asked them if they could calm her down. They actually took their time to talk to her and told her not to worry because they got the bad guy.

It is nearly Tuesday and so far nothing has been done by the sherrif... No more horses are missing but they are all under lock and key... that doesn't mean they won't dissappear....It just slows them down by 5 minutes. they are still casing the place...I have chased them out all weekend....It is a matter of time.... They got a payoff and now they think no one will stop them... hmm.. wonder why (all sarcasm intended)

you know, I agree with Grit. No offense OP, but several people asked questions that were deliberately ignored, and the whole story seems very sketchy. My impression (and that may be way off) is that the OP has 'appropriated' some horses that belong to someone else because they may not have been taken care of properly. Now the original owner is attempting to regain his property, the horses. The owner may feel justified in doing this, for whatever reason. If this is wrong, I apologise, but the alleged inaction of the local LE might be because this is an ongoing thing between these people. If I'm all wet geebs, set us all straight.
